Accomplishments

I have a fear of heights. So last summer my friends and I wanted to break that fear. So we went parasailing. At first I was really scared as we went higher and higher.  But then I started to like it. By the time it was over I was more sad then scared.

This has to do with my brand because helping others is part of my brand. My friends helped me get over my fear of heights.

Book

My favorite book is the Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd. It is important to me because I liked the moral to the story that they are helping others. That is what my brand is all about.

Movie

My favorite movie is Pitch Perfect.  It as my favorite movie because they learn to listen to other opinions and help each other as a team. This has to do with my brand because I help others is part of my brand.

Artifact

My Great-Grandma Rose was an enormous inspiration to me. Shelieved in education for all and felt that women should go to college and have a career before it was common in the United States. She went to college in the early 1900's when the college population was dominated by men. While higher education today is expected of both men and women, during the early 1900's, women were expected to be at home cooking, cleaning and taking care of the family rather then getting a full education. My grandmother believed that women should have educational opportunities, just like men. She went to school to become a teacher and a nutritionist. It was a goal that she had, and she completed this in spite of the challenges that she had from simply being a woman.

I wear or keep my grandmother's bracelet visible in my room so I can remember the strength and independence she had in order to fulfill her dream. In fact, she passed the educational priority down from generation to generation and still exists in my family today. Partly because of her, we realize that education is a privilege, and something you must never give-up on.

It is when I am frustrated with a topic in school that I get out my grandmother's bracelet and wear it. It reminds me that to achieve a goal, I must overcome challenging material when it is presented in class. Once I am able to achieve in an area that was difficult, I feel both accomplished and proud. Accomplished because I didn't give-up, and I gained new knowledge that I will use later in life. I am proud because I have the educational goals that my grandmother taught me.

I chose this picture for my logo because completing work is like in a cycle. I chose these colors because they make the logo stand out. I chose the font to make my name pop on the logo.

The internet changed the life of Caine Monroy by getting many people to go to his arcade because he only had one customer. The advantages of being connected is if you get many followers hopefully people will come. The disadvantages of being connected is people may not always come. You can use the internet to advertise your brand.

Frank Warren made a video about other people's secrets anonymously. One of someone's secrets is a keep people's voicemails that I love on my phone incase one day they could die so I can hear their voice.  I keep voicemails from my grandparents because I just moved here and I don't no when I am going to see them.  They are older and I don't no when I am going to see them again cause flights are expensive and I am not going back to New Jersey anytime soon.

Today I did my first speech in my class. I was really nervous but I think I did ok on it. Next time I need to be more descriptive and less nervous.
